I don't object to them and it upsets me to see an animal treated cruelly... but I've never had a desire to invite one into my home.<br /><br />Nevertheless, every so often someone tells me I should get a service dog. When I ask them why, they wax lyrical about all the things a dog can do. It can bring you the phone, they tell me. It can get your clothes out of the washing machine.
